What is Dignity?

Dignity means the quality or state of being worthy of respect. A dignity person can be poise and self-respect. There are many people who lived with dignity, and also, they died with dignity. For example, Helen Keller. Although she is already deaf and blind, but she didn't quit; she kept learning hand gestures and finally, she graduate from University of Harvard. Afterwards, she had started a organization charity called International Blind Charity, in order to make other blind people can get the equal rights. Another example of people live with dignity, those suicide bomber terrorist. I considered them as people with dignity because they are willing to sacrifice themselves to their religious. Imagine how horrible it is for a person to know that he/she is going to suicide by bombing himself/herself up. The Tank Guy in China. He is considered as a person who died in the Chinese Revolution. He sacrifice himself in revolution because he doesn't want the soldiers to get into the schools, so he lied himself in the ground and the tanks roll over that guy. Overall, people who died with dignity should get a medal, because they are brave to show the society isn't what the governments want only, but only the people lives in the kingdom.

Happiness is...

Happiness is a mental and emotional state of well-being of a person. Sometimes, the happiness can be a person get their internet in Pacific American School, or a simple happiness can just be getting a kiss from your lover. To me, the most important thing that will make me happy, is to receive a gift from the person you love. Psychologist Ed Diener, author of Happiness: Unlocking the Mysteries of Psychological Wealth, describe that happiness is a combination of life satisfaction and having more positive emotions than negative emotions. Also, Martin Seligman, who is the author of Authentic Happiness, state that happiness have three parts: pleasure, engagement, and meaning. Pleasure is the feel good part of happiness, and engagement refers to living a good life of work, family, friends, and hobbies. Meaning refers to using our strengths to contribute to a larger purpose. Two psychologists above are correct, because most of our happiness comes for our life and we have good feelings when we have happiness.

Compare and Contrast The Time Machine (Book and 1960 Movie)

Almost every book had a movie version of its own. The Time Machine, written by H. G. Wells, was filmed to movies in 1960 and 2002, respectively. In both movie and book, the Time Traveler, whose name was George, had went on a time travel. Also, George met the Elois and the Morlocks, and he saved Weena, a Eloi who almost drown in the river. After George saved Weena and found out his time machine was gone, he realized his time machine was hidden in the pedestal of Sphinx Statue. However, the director of the movie sometimes changed some details from the story. In the movie version, many details were different from the story version. For example, George had stopped in 1966, but in the story, George didn't stopped during his time travelling. Also, the biggest difference was the death of Weena; in the story, Weena died, but in the movie, Weena survived and fall in love with George. Finally, the sequence of the events were different, too. In the book, the Time Traveler told the theories first, then told the guest about the story; in the movie, they started with the dinner after the time travelling first, then told the theories second.
